Hiking the ADKS in fall

Finally got to check off some more of the 46 high peaks of New York State yesterday! I did Algonquin, second highest in the state, and weights peak and Iroquois. Left home at 3am with my mom and Alissa and met up with my aunt, uncle and cousins at 6. We ended the day at nightfall. Alissa (my youngest sister -11) buddies up with me and we hiked together all day. She did amazing. Such a trooper and thrill seeker!! Her older siblings have taught her well. πŸ˜‰ Long, tiring but successful day. The climb is always worth the view at the top. It was the most perfect day to climb. The fall colors were brilliant and the sky was the perfect blue. I now feel the craving to check off more peaks. ASAP! The mountains are calling. I must go. πŸ™‚

The gang! My aunt, uncle, cousins and Mom, Alissa and I. 3 high peaks, 12 hours.

Heading over to the 3rd peak. Alissa was an amazing hiker. Such an inspiration!

Love these two!

Living on the edge. My “mini me” indeed!
