Slept in late this morning til Moana was out of school. About 2 we met up with her and headed out to Lahaina. But we took the back scenic way through and around the mountains. Oh. My. Goodness. Again…Maui does not cease to amaze me. The road was awesome. One lane road most of the way carved into the mountain sides. Hairpin turns, drop offs, and spectacular views along the entire way. Again…you’d just have to experience it to know what I mean. I’m soo glad I have a friend that actually lives here and is a local and knows what she’s doing and knows places to go to…I’m so lucky! Thank you MOANA! 😉 We stopped at another blowhole along the way. Then went to a place called “cliff house” to do some cliff jumping into the ocean. Ah! The location was beautiful. The water so beautiful and clear and inviting. You could see so far down! I jumped a few times from a few different places. It was so much fun. Saw a huge sea turtle too! We then climbed back up to the car and went to “black rock” another place to cliff jump. The sun was setting thus making amazing jumping pictures. Again the location was beautiful. The beach was one right behind a fancy resort. We walked thru the resort and to the beach. Had to get in the water and swim to the rock. At first no one else was going to get in the water again, so I swam over alone, but pretty soon everyone else (Moana, Becca and Miriam) got in too. 🙂 And so I jumped Black Rock. Why do I love cliff jumping so much? There’s something about it. Some thing that feels so good. Love it. We jumped and swam around til the sun was set. Then we were a little chilly…and decided to act like resort owners and use their pools and hot tubs. So we did until they booted us out. Got nice and warmed up 🙂 And the security guard was nice. He seemed used to the routine. haha. That was my day. …Another day in my memory bank of unforgettable adventures. 🙂
