St. Maarten is truly beautiful. The waters are the prettiest and most aqua blue I have seen anywhere besides Maui. The people are all friendly and welcoming. An interesting fact we learned was that St. Maarten has two different sides and thus is two different countries – a Dutch side and a French side. The island only takes about an our to drive around, but none the less, half of the island speaks French, and the other half English. The signs and menus and everything are different languages and even the currency changes depending on what side you’re on. It’s crazy!
While there, we spent most of our time lounging on the beach and snorkeling. We also wet parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving and explored the island and little towns. It was one of my favorite vacations ever because I got to spend it with Adam. I look forward to many more awesome adventures with my husband. 🙂
Anyways, I’m not gonna waste time writing a lengthy post about our honeymoon. Pictures are worth a thousand words and are what people like to look at anyways. 🙂
Landing in St. Maarten.
Our resort. It was the nicest on the island and we only paid $250 for two weeks there! And our airfare was free. 🙂 Cheap honeymooners. haha

Maho Beach alongside the Princess Juliana airport. It is known for its airport landings, as the planes land so close to the ocean that people can hold on to the fence and literally have their feet nearly lifted off the ground as jets take on and off.
Are you for Scuba?
