Still trying to adjust to the time zone! It’s only 8 here but my body is screaming that it’s almost 2am. Especially a long day in the sunshine. It was a gorgeous day. But they say every day in Hawaii is like this. Mid 80’s with the sun high in the clear blue sky. We hiked Diamond Head today. Points of interest were the crater, the bunkers, tunnels and stairwells used during WWII, the helicopters, and of course the views. The views on the hike up and from the top were absolutely spectacular! You could see the ocean and the coastline for miles. The water was soo inviting. So many different color blues and turquoises. It was calling my name! I can’t wait to surf. We still haven’t actually made it to the beach, but next week promises alot of that 🙂 After hiking Diamond Head we headed to Waikiki. We walked along the streets that were decorated with hundreds of stores, with amazing views of the Waikiki shoreline and the dozens of surfers and boarders that lined the breaklines. Waikiki is beautiful. Can’t wait to go back and spend a day on its beach and exploring the shops and all the area has to offer. I love beach towns. Waikiki is definitely the most beautiful one i’ve been to yet. 🙂 After Waikiki we headed back to home base and Becca and I soaked up some sun by the pool and did some swimming. The rest of the evening was just spent relaxing. We’re both exhausted but forcing ourselves to stay awake so we can adjust to the time zone and wake up at a normal time. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! So far, I love Hawaii! 🙂 …who wouldn’t.
