Im in Oahu in Honolulu, Hawaii. It’s still hard to believe! All my hard work, and my dreaming has paid off and I’m here. I packed the day before I left. Becca met us at our house around noon Wednesday afternoon. We all went out to eat pizza with my family, and Adam and Becca as a little farwell dinner fun, and then went back to get ready to go. I ended up not sleeping. We left at 1am and drove the 3.5 hours to the airport. Adam and mom drove us all the way to the airport and then drove back home together to keep each other awake. Dad’s flight left at 6 and ours didn’t leave til 10 so we hung around at the airport for about 5 hours before we actually left. Then we had the 10 hours and 26 minute flight to Honolulu. Long flight. But it wasn’t terrible. Went by faster than I thought it would. As soon as we started descending I could see beautiful light blue water and it hit me. I was in Hawaii! It looked beautiful! The rugged mountain scapes on the small islands surrounded by the beautiful pristine blueish waters….couldn’t wait to be down in it! The weather was very warm. The sun was shining. It was beautiful out. Becca’s aunt and uncle met us outside. They are soo sweet and friendly. They instantly made me feel at home and comfortable. We drove around a bit and went out to eat thai pizza. Just driving around was beautiful. I still can’t wait to be on the beaches and learning to surf. Right now i’m exhausted. I’ve been up for more than 24 hours. It’s only 8 here so if I go to bed now i’ll be off tomorrow! But I might have to give in here pretty soon. Can’t wait to see what adventures are in store! 🙂 Helllooo Hawaii. 🙂
